Modern interpretations of Isaiah 7:14 by many Jewish Rabbi’s under the traditions of Judaism dispute the interpretation that Christ (Emmanuel: Mat 1:23) was born of a virgin. Their dispute centers around the use of the Hebrew word “almah” [העלמה] (damsel, maid, virgin, young woman) rather than “betulah” or “bthuwlah” [בתולה] (maid, virgin). The ancient Isaiah Scroll found at Qumran of the Dead Sea, which predates Christ, also contains the Hebrew word “almah” [העלמה] with the same character sequence; so it is unlikely the word has been miscopied by the scribes of the modern Hebrew text (the Masoretes).
However, as pointed out in the video linked below, the Hebrew word “almah” is used only seven times in the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament, and in every case it translates, in context, to a chaste, unmarried woman, or virgin. In the case of Genesis 24:43, the same character sequence of Isa 7:14 is translated to the word “virgin” in reference to Rebekah:
The Septuagint, or Greek Old Testament, that was commonly quoted by Christ and the Apostles, also translates to the word “virgin”:
“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin [παρθένος] shall conceive in the womb, and shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Emmanuel.” — Isa 7:14 LXX
